DOUGLAS IVAN DAVID LANKTREE

January 5, 1956 – May 22, 2024

Douglas Ivan David Lanktree, born January 5, 1956 on Maniotulin, passed away peacefully with his wife Barb and Sister Joan by his side in Brandon General Hospital, Brandon Manitoba on May 22, 2024 at the age of 68. Doug is survived by his wife Barb (Wilson) his sister Joan Vyse (John 1994) (Calvin 2019), sister-in-law Chris (Dwayne 2018, sisters-in-law Maxine, Donna, Beth and Kelly and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Ivan and Hazel Lanktree, brother Dwayne and brothers-in-law John Vyse (1994) and Calvin Pearson (2019). Doug has resided in Benito, Manitoba for 41 years Doug and Barb聽 ran a grocery store in Benito and when they sold it, Doug worked for 30 years for Ag Sheild a farm equipment聽 manufacturing company in Benito. Doug loved to fish, hunt, camp, golf, play darts and garden or just visit with friends and have a beer. Doug was a member of the Elks Foundation of Manitoba. Cremation has taken place and at a later date his ashes with be buried at Providence Bay Cemetery. Doug will be greatly missed and loved dearly.
